What would have Kohli given to have a stable middle order at RCB? They tried every single combination to find the best middle order that is not overly dependent on Kohli and AB de Villiers, but barring Moeen Ali ( who didn't play every game), nobody stepped up.

RCB lacked a proper fast bowling all-rounder who can strike the long ball. Collin de Granddhome, Shivam Dube and Marcus Stoinis were far too inconsistent, both with the bat and the ball. That is why Kohli would have loved to have someone like Hardik Pandya, who is capable both with the bat and the ball.

In the 14 matches that he has played this year, he has scored 380 runs at a strike rate of almost 200 and he has also picked up 14 wickets. RCB fans would have loved the sight of Pandya smacking the ball out of the park in the red and black jersey.
