If there is one player who hasn't got enough chances this year, it is this lad from Punjab, Mayank Markande. With his performances last year, he was expected to walk into the playing XI in the very first match itself. However, that wasn't the case and he got picked only in the 2nd and the 3rd matches before being left out against Chennai Super Kings because of an injury.

The 21-year-old hasn't been at his best this season but with Hardik Pandya and two pacers already playing, Markande could come into the side for the next match. He is a hard to read bowler and has the knack of picking up wickets in crucial moments of the game. He has proved his worth countless times in 2018 and with Lasith Malinga gone, he should make it to the team. In the two matches that he has played, he has picked up one wicket in the form of in-form batsman Parthiv Patel. He will be looking to take more wickets and find himself a permanent spot in the playing XI.
