Tom Latham could be the solution to RCB's "muddle in the middle"

Tom Latham is one of the most classy and consistent batsmen in world cricket today. His batting prowess is clearly underrated. He has gone on to make numerous partnerships for the Kiwis with the likes of Ross Taylor, Henry Nicholls, Kane Williamson, etc., and is a handy wicket-keeper. He is a great player of spin, and this was seen in the limited overs series the Kiwis played in India in 2017.

He is a good option in the middle order and would provide the stability and depth that RCB have evidently desired in the seasons before. His World Cup commitments would not be a hindrance as the NZ cricket board has allowed their players to play the complete IPL. He would clearly be a like-for-like replacement for Quinton de Kock, if not better. His underrated potential could make him a bargain buy for RCB.

#3 Ravikumar Samarth

This Karnataka lad has gone from strength to strength in the past few Ranji seasons and is being touted by experts as one of the future stars of Indian cricket. He has been in top form for both Karnataka and India-A for a while now. Although he has no prior IPL experience, he would be a great buy for RCB due to his sheer experience of the Chinnaswamy conditions. He is a talented player and could very well fill in the void left by the departure of Mandeep Singh.

Adding him in the squad would also help keep the local flavour in the RCB setup, thus connecting with the fans in a huge way. His consistency is remarkable and he could partner Virat Kohli and ABD to make a strong top 4. Picking him would be a bargain deal, with not many teams showing too much attention towards such a big talent.
