#2 D'Arcy Short (2 crores)

D'Arcy Short was in the Rajasthan Royals ranks last season before being shown the exit doors for his shoddy performances. Short is a dangerous player but is still finding his feet in T20 cricket and hasn't yet cemented his place in the national side.

The left-handed opener surprisingly chose to put himself in the highest base price bracket of 2 crores when others who have played much more cricket than him have underpriced themselves.

Also, Short does not have the IPL performances to show for. Do not be surprised if D'Arcy finds no bidders for himself at the auction.

#1 Colin Ingram (2 crores)

The South African left-handed batsman is another surprising name in 2-crore base price bracket at the IPL auction 2019. Ingram has not played for South Africa after November 2013 and is out of contention at the moment.

He has played only one IPL season which dates back to 2011. The IPL franchises are usually not keen to rope in someone who has not played international cricket for a long time. Taking all things into consideration, a base price of 2 crores is exorbitantly high for someone who is looking to make a comeback in the IPL after eight long years.

Ingram might be a regular in the Big Bash and other T20 leagues but the standards of the IPL are extremely high which might put him out of the scheme of things.
