There were a few questions about KL Rahul's form coming into IPL 2019 and considering that Rahul wasn't a surety in India's World Cup squad, it was imperative for him to score big runs. And Rahul responded brilliantly by hitting 593 runs in 14 matches at an average of 53.90. Rahul batted with responsibility and was the backbone of Kings XI Punjab's batting. His terrific show in the IPL paved way for his selection in India's World Cup squad.

#3 Shreyas Iyer (Vice-captain) (Matches - 16, Runs - 463, Average - 30.86)

The way Shreyas Iyer led a young Delhi Capitals side was appreciated by one and all. Iyer was impressive with the bat too as he played some mature knocks in the middle order. Despite playing half the matches on the slow pitch of Delhi, Iyer managed to score 463 runs in 16 matches.
