Jason Behrendorff has joined up with the Mumbai camp after returning from Pakistan vs Australia series in the UAE. Mitchell McClenaghan hasn't picked up any wickets in the last two games and has given away a lot of runs in the death. The New Zealander has been MI's trusted operator for the last few years, but his age has derailed his pace and made him slightly ineffective

In contrast, Behrendorff is in brilliant form at the moment and he has had a great year with the Australian team. The lanky left-arm pacer is an able operator with the new ball and has the ability to pick up wickets in the powerplay, something MI has been badly missing.

Also, Western Australian has played a lot of cricket in India this year and knows the conditions well. The 28-year-old has enough experience in this T20 format and has been Perth Scorchers' go-to man in the Big Bash League.
