Aaron Finch was a brilliant signing by the RCB board in the auctions. Even though the Australian didn't play in IPL 2019, the amount of firepower and experience he brings to this RCB squad is enormous. For years, RCB have been dependent on Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers to provide consistent runs but with Finch, they have another dependable batsman who can play anywhere in the batting order.

The Australian should go straight into the starting XI next season and it should not even be a debate. He could either open with Parthiv Patel or play one down in case Kohli opens. Also, Finch has been in terrific form this year as he was one of the highest run-getters for Australia in the World Cup of 2019. Furthermore, he will bring a calm head and leadership to the RCB squad, which they desperately need if they are to mount a title challenge in IPL 2020.
