IPL Auction 2019: Date, time, player list, rules, and format

Players retained by each team:

The teams had to submit a list of players retained and released ahead of the auctions. While most of the teams did release quite a few players, the Chennai Super Kings released just three players, including Englishman Mark Wood.

Prior to this, a few trades took place amongst the teams as well. Quinton de Kock's trade to the Mumbai Indians was the most popular one.
