Royal Challengers Bangalore had another unlucky year although the team survived in the competition until the very last match. The Virat Kohli led side won just three of their initial 10 matches and remained in the bottom half of the points table for major part of the tournament.

They bounced back strongly winning three matches in a row and remained in contention for a playoffs spot. It all came down to the last match where they lost to Rajasthan Royals and failed to qualify for the playoffs. They won six of the 14 league stage matches and finished 6th on the points table.

Going into the auction this year, the team has released their non-performing players and have a total of 10 slots available to fill with Rs. 18.15 remaining in their purse.
