Tom Banton is likely to make his IPL debut in 2020.

Tom Banton has drawn the attention of all the franchises ahead of the upcoming edition of Indian Premier League. The 21-year-old English star had impressed a lot while playing for Somerset in the 2019 T20 Blast. Also, he recently made his international T20 debut for England on 5th November 2019. Because of his mind-boggling performances in the domestic field, the fans expect him to make his IPL debut in 2020.

Banton made his Twenty20 cricket debut for Somerset on 16th July 2017. Since then, he has played 20 T20 matches, smashing 647 runs at an average of 35.94. He has registered one century and four half-centuries which proves his contendership for a spot in any IPL franchise.

Apart from this, his stellar performances have earned him a contract from the Brisbane Heat side for the Big Bash League 2019-20.

While Chennai Super Kings have already contacted the Somerset side for acquiring him, RCB also need a consistent wicket-keeper batsman in their squad. Thus, Tom Banton has all the makings to ignite a bidding war between them.
