Despite IPL auction 2020 being a mini-auction, there's still a lot at stake, especially after some of the teams opted to release a few big names ahead of the new IPL season. While most of the released players will be expected to go for big money in the auction, a lot of fresh young Indian and overseas talent might hogg the limelight with their auction price next week.

The likes of Chris Lynn and Chris Morris, who were not expected to be released by their franchises, might spring a bidding war as teams vie to procure their services for the next edition.

Some of the players who missed the last auction due to international commitments have made themselves available for this edition, as they look to make a difference with their experience in the IPL next year. Glenn Maxwell, Eoin Morgan, Aaron Finch, and others will also be in great demand at the auction in Kolkata.

The youngster Tom Banton, who has already made the headlines with his desire to play for Mumbai Indians, will also be watched closely as teams bid for the English opener.
