MI's worst batting show came during IPL 2018 when the batsmen failed to pick the guile of young Afghan spinner Rashid Khan and folded for just 87 while chasing a below-par total of 118

Perennially slow starters in the league, Mumbai Indians came into the game with four losses in five games and were faced with a tough prospect of winning their second game at home.

Krunal Pandya's promotion up the order worked, as he and Suryakumar Yadav stitched a 40-run partnership that was put to an end by a straighter one from Rashid Khan that trapped Pandya in front.

Pollard and Hardik Pandya, arguably two of the best finishers found the going tough against Rashid, re-iterated by Pandya's laborious 19-ball 3 as the Afghani tweaker finished with figures of 2/11 from four overs, including a maiden as the Mumbai Indians succumbed to the guile of the young prodigy from Afghanistan.

With the required run rate creeping up, Siddharth Kaul made the most of the pressure on Mumbai as he wiped out the tail to finish with 3/23 off his full quota as well. In the end, the 31-run loss brought about MI's fifth loss in six games.
