Suryakumar Yadav had an outstanding season of IPL last year

Suryakumar Yadav started his IPL career in the 2012 season with the Kolkata Knight Riders. But it was only in the 2014 season, when he got ample opportunity to display his skills, and he did grab that with both hands, scoring at an average of over 32 and a healthy strike rate of 140.

Since then, he was always a part of the KKR squad, where he was always used as a middle order floater.

However, last year, when he was bought by the Mumbai Indians and was promoted up top as an opener, and he impressed. In his best season so far, he justified that change by scoring 512 runs at an average of over 36.

One more good IPL this year and he might be on its way to the Indian team set up.
