Gautam Gambhir scored 501 runs in IPL 2016, matching Shikhar Dhawan’s tally. He was the only batsman from his team who showed up match after match. Due to lack of adequate support though, KKR failed to reach the final of the tournament.

Gambhir smacked his runs at a strike rate of 121.89 and at a healthy average of 38.53. In total, he hammered 5 half centuries and struck 54 fours and 6 sixes.
