Till date the IPL has seen 52 centuries being scored. The first player to score a century in the tournament was Brendon McCullum, playing for KKR against RCB in 2008.

However, no player has scored more centuries than Chris Gayle, who has six centuries (five playing for RCB and one playing for KXIP) to his name. Gayle also holds the record for scoring the fastest century in the IPL - off 30 balls, against Pune Warriors India in 2013.

Players from RCB have also scored the most number of centuries - 12. So it is not surprising that four of the top 5 highest individual scores spots are occupied by RCB players.

IPL 2008, 2011 and 2012 saw the most number of centuries being scored, with 6 centuries in each of those seasons. IPL 2009 saw the least number of centuries being scored, with the number dipping down to 2.

On that note, let us take a look at the top 5 highest individual scores in the IPL.
