The ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 will take place in India between October 05-November 19.
Since the tournament is in Indian conditions, wicket keepers of each of the 10 teams will be put to test against high-quality wrist-spinners.

Legendary Australian cricketer Adam Gilchrist led the charts among most efficient glovesmen in the 2007 event.
In 11 innings, Gilly claimed 12 catches besides affecting 5 stumpings to finish with 17 dismissals.
Gilly was followed by Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara, who completed 15 dismissals in 11 innings during the quadrennial event.

Most Dismissals by a Wicketkeeper in 2011 World Cup

The 2011 World Cup was played in the sub-continent– India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh- and so there were a lot more stumpings.
Kumar Sangakkara finished as the most successful keeper after having claimed 10 catches in addition to his 4 stumpings. However, Sanga was uncharacteristically poor in the final against India as he missed a run-out of Gautam Gambhir and stumping of MS Dhoni, which ultimately proved to be decisive.
Australia's Brad Haddin finished at the 2nd spot, with 13 catches from 7 innings, while Pakistan's Kamran Akmal finished at the 3rd spot after having carried out 12 dismissals.
England's Matt Prior and West Indies' Devon Smith finished with 10 apiece after 7 outings.

The World Cup returned to the seam-friendly environment of Australia and New Zealand in the winter of 2014/15, and the keepers again made merry
Aussie keeper Brad Haddin topped the charts with 16 dismissals followed by the legendary MS Dhoni, who bagged 15 dismissals.

The 2019 World Cup was played in English conditions, and naturally, wicket keepers had a gala time.
New Zealand's Tom Latham enjoyed the most as he claimed 21 catches from the edges induced by his world-class seamers.
Australia's Alex Carey too had a gala time as he bagged 18 catches and a couple of stumpings to take his tally to 20.
West Indies keeper Shai Hope finished as the 3rd-most successful gloves men, with 16 catches against his name. He was followed by Pakistani skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed (13 catches + 1 stumping) and English glovesman Jos Butter, who took 12 catches and effected 2 stumpings.
