MI retained five cricketers, all Indian, ahead of the IPL 2025 retention deadline day on October 31, 2024. MI retained Jasprit Bumrah for INR 18 crore, Hardik Pandya for INR 16.35 crore, Suryakumar Yadav for INR 16.35 crore, Rohit Sharma for INR 16.3 crore, and Tilak Varma for INR 8 crore. MI signed 23 players in the IPL 2025 auction to represent the team in the 2025 edition of the IPL. MI Injury Replacements
MI first signed Mujeeb Ur Rehman as an injury replacement for Allah Ghazanfar. MI then signed Corbin Bosch as an injury replacement for Lizaad Williams. They signed Raghu Sharma as a replacement for Vignesh Puthur, who played in five games for MI in the IPL 2025, afterwards.
MI Temporary Replacements
Three MI players, namely Will Jacks, Ryan Rickelton, and Corbin Bosch, will leave the team after the IPL 2025 league stage for national duties. The franchise have signed Jonny Bairstow, Richard Gleeson, and Charith Asalanka as temporary replacements for Will Jacks, Ryan Rickelton, and Corbin Bosch respectively.
