Jaipur rain prediction today: What are the chances of rain during the RR vs MI match in IPL 2024?

The Rajasthan Royals (RR) will host the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 38th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Monday, April 22.

Five-time champions MI have had an inconsistent run in IPL 2024 so far. They lost three games on the trot to start their campaign. However, they have bounced back to win three of the next four games and will look to keep the momentum going.

RR, on the other hand, currently sit pretty on top of the leaderboard with 12 points. They have six wins from seven matches and boast a NRR of +0.677. They will look to keep their form going with the aim of taking a step closer to the playoffs.

The two teams met earlier this season when the Royals thrashed the Mumbai Indians by six wickets at Wankhede Stadium. RR restricted Mumbai to 125/7 before chasing the total in just 15.3 overs. Trent Boult won the Player of the Match award for his three-wicket haul.

Another cracking contest beckons fans in Jaipur tonight and they are expected to fill the stadium in huge numbers. Much to their delight, there is no forecast for showers in the city on Monday night. Thus, a full game of 40 overs is expected. Skies will also remain clear for most of the match.

Meanwhile, the temperature will hover around the 30 degrees Celsius mark. Humidity levels will likely remain on the lower side as well.

South African-born Gerald Coetzee has been a key figure in the Mumbai Indians' setup and is the second-highest wicket-taker for them this season behind Jasprit Bumrah, with 12 scalps.

The 23-year-old has been given the responsibility of bowling in the powerplay, which he seems to be enjoying so far. Addressing the press on the eve of the game, Coetzee said:

"As a modern-day cricketer, you must be adaptive to whatever role you are given. I haven't bowled much in the powerplay, but I'm really enjoying it. I love the middle overs, and I've grown to love the death. As someone who likes wickets, it's prime time to take wickets."
