"My girls tried explaining these to me" - Rohit Sharma shares cheeky caption with picture of trendy Labubu dolls

Star India batter Rohit Sharma has shared a picture of trendy Labubu dolls on his Instagram story. He also put up a cheeky caption on his story for the picture.

"My girls tried explaining these to me, I sill don't get it," he wrote.

For those unaware, created by Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung, Labubu is part of the 'Monsters' figurine universe, born out of his love for Nordic folklore and the wild imaginations of children. Labubu dolls are small, furry, elvish creatures with big eyes and a mischievous smile. These dolls have been trending in recent times all over the internet.

Rohit is married to Ritika Sajdeh and the two also have a young daughter named Samaira. The star cricketer, who announced his retirement from Test cricket recently, was last seen playing in the IPL 2025 season for Mumbai Indians (MI).

Rohit Sharma's IPL 2025 season

Rohit Sharma displayed decent form in the recently concluded IPL 2025 season with the bat for MI. The opening batter did not start the season well but gained rhythm as the season progressed.

MI had lost four out of their first five games but made a solid comeback to win six in a row and made it to the playoffs as well later, finishing fourth on the points table after the league stage. They won the Eliminator against Gujarat Titans (GT) but lost the second Qualifier to Punjab Kings (PBKS) as their campaign came to an end.

However, Rohit, among others, played a key role in their turnaround and run to the playoffs. The right-hander ended the season with 418 runs from 15 matches at an average of 29.85 and a strike-rate of 149.28 with four half-centuries.

His top-score of 81 in the season came in the Eliminator against GT. Rohit had also announced his retirement from T20Is after leading India to victory at the 2024 T20 World Cup last year. Having retired from Tests and T20Is, he will now be seen playing only ODI cricket for India in the future.
