Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star Jitesh Sharma smashed a six to finish the game for NECO Master Blaster in a Vidarbha Pro T20 League 2025 match. It was the first semi-final of the tournament played between Bharat Rangers and NECO Master Blaster on Friday, June 13.

Batting first, Bharat Rangers posted a total of 204/3 from their 20 overs. NECO Master Blaster chased down the total off the last ball, requiring five runs to win. Star RCB wicketkeeper-batter and NECO Master Blaster captain Jitesh Sharma smashed a huge six straight down the ground to finish the game in style as they won the game with six wickets to spare.

Jitesh remained unbeaten on 46 off 22 balls, hitting a four and six maximums at a strike-rate of 209.09.

Jitesh Sharma won the IPL 2025 season with RCB

Jitesh Sharma was acquired by RCB for a staggering ₹11 crore during the IPL 2025 mega auction. He proved to be a valuable buy for the team, making crucial contributions at important phases of the tournament.

Jitesh scored 261 runs from 11 innings at an average of 37.28 with an impressive strike-rate of 176.35 that included a half-century as well. His highest score of an unbeaten 85 came in a big game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). RCB were chasing a daunting target of 228 runs and were in a must-win position for a top-two finish. Jitesh slammed an 85 not out of just 33 balls, hitting eight fours and six maximums at a strike-rate of 257.57, helping them win an important game.

He played a crucial cameo in the final as well, scoring 25 runs off 15 balls. RCB beat Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad by six runs to win the tournament. It was a historic victory as they won their maiden IPL title, putting an end to an 18-year-old wait for the trophy. They had played three finals earlier in 2009, 2011, and 2016 but failed to get over the finish line.
