Punjab Kings (PBKS) batter Ashutosh Sharma was seen preparing tea for his teammates during the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). The franchise shared a video on its official social media handles, giving fans a glimpse of Ashutosh's tea-making skills.

Members of the PBKS camp who tasted the tea seemed mighty impressed by Ashutosh's skills. The Punjab-based team captioned the post:

"Jado ashu bnau cha kiven na niklu "𝑾𝒂𝒂𝒉"!"

It is worth mentioning that Punjab failed to qualify for the IPL 2024 playoffs, finishing at the penultimate spot in the points table after the culmination of the league stage. They managed to win just five out of their 14 fixtures.

PBKS suffered a four-wicket defeat to the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their final league match of the season on Sunday, May 19. SRH chased down a stiff 215-run target in 19.1 overs.

Prabhsimran Singh was the top performer for Punjab with a gutsy 71-run knock. Rilee Rossouw and Atharva Taide also chipped in with useful contributions, scoring 49 and 46, respectively.

However, their bowling let them down in the contest. Hyderabad's opening batter Abhishek Sharma was named the Player of the Match for scoring 66 runs in 28 balls in the run chase.

Ashutosh Sharma's impactful performances were the silver lining in PBKS' otherwise lackluster run in IPL 2024. The right-handed batter was roped in by Punjab at his base price of ₹20 lakh at the mini-auction ahead of the season.

The 25-year-old impressed many with his batting exploits. He amassed 189 runs across nine innings at an average of 27.00 and a strike rate of 167.25.

Ashutosh Sharma notched up his maiden IPL half-century in Punjab's game against the Mumbai Indians (MI), scoring 61 off just 28 deliveries. While PBKS suffered a nine-run, the youngster sweeping Jasprit Bumrah for a stunning six remained one of the highlighters of the encounter.
