Noor Ahmad Lakanwal is a professional cricket bowler who represents the Afghanistan Cricket Team. Born on January 03, 2005, he made his First-Class debut for Kabul Region in April 2019. He took two wickets in his First-Class game. In October 2019, he made his T20 debut in the Shpageeza Cricket League 2019 edition. He has also played in several T20 leagues around the world like Indian Premier League (IPL), The Hundred, Big Bash League (BBL), Lanka Premier League (LPL), Pakistan Super League (PSL), etc. He has represented teams like Galle Gladiators, Karachi Kings, Melbourne Renegades, Gujarat Titans, among others in different T20 leagues across the globe.
Noor Ahmad made his international debut against Zimbabwe in a T20I game on June 14, 2022. He made his ODI debut on November 30, 2022 against Sri Lanka. He was a part of the Afghanistan team squad that reached the semifinal of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. In the IPL, he was first signed by the Gujarat Titans (GT) franchise in the IPL 2022 auction.
