Pakistan Asian Games Cricket Schedule 2023

Pakistan cricket team will participate in the men’s and women’s cricket tournaments of Asian Games 2023. The competition will take place in Hangzhou, China.

The women’s tournament will kick off the cricket event at Asian Games 2023. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have earned a direct entry into the quarterfinals round of the tournament. The women’s matches will happen from September 19 to 25.

Asian Games 2023 men’s cricket tournament will start on September 27 and culminate on October 7. Like women’s cricket, Pakistan men’s team has also earned a direct entry into the quarterfinals of the men’s competition.

Pakistan has been a part of cricket events at the Asian Games in the past as well. In the year 2010, the Pakistan men’s cricket team won the bronze medal after defeating Sri Lanka in a third-place playoff match in Hangzhou.

In women’s cricket, Pakistan won the gold medal in 2010 and 2014. The Women in Green will face a stiff challenge this year because India Women have named a full-strength squad for this tournament. India Women will be making their debut at Asian Games.

Pakistan will play their quarterfinal match at the Zhejiang University of Technology Pingfeng Cricket Field on September 21 in women’s cricket. If the Women in Green win that match, they will advance to the semifinals on September 24.

Depending on the result of the semifinals, Pakistan Women will either play in the bronze medal or gold medal match on September 25. The Pakistan women’s team are two-time defending champions at the Asian Games.

The Pakistan Cricket Board will hope that the Nida Dar-led outfit brings the gold medal home once again in women’s cricket.

Pakistan will play their men’s cricket quarterfinal match on October 3 at 12:00 pm IST in Hangzhou. Their quarterfinal opponent will be decided via the qualifying matches, which will take place from September 27 to October 2.

Qasim Akram will lead a second-string Pakistan squad in the tournament. They have earned a direct entry into the quarterfinals. Their quarterfinal will take place on October 3 at 12:00 pm IST against one of the top teams from the group stage.

Depending on the result of their quarterfinal match, Pakistan will progress further into the competition.
