#2 Jonny Bairstow (England)

Jonny Bairstow had a rather slow start to World Cup 2019 but the burly opener has come good for England at the right time scoring two consecutive hundreds and paving way for the two victories which enabled England to make it to the semi-finals.
This comes after a whirlwind opening season in IPL 2019 where he and David Warner broke innumerable records and were the main reason for Sunrisers Hyderabad making the playoffs. Bairstow was amazing from the word go and scored a staggering 445 runs from 10 innings averaging 55.62 at a great strike-rate of 157.24.
Though not right from the start, Bairstow has carried forward his IPL form to the World Cup scoring 462 runs from nine innings averaging 51.33 with two tons and two fifties.
England will want their premier opener to shine alongside Jason Roy and give a befitting reply to the Australian pace attack, to whom the hosts surrendered in the league game, when the two sides face off at Edgbaston, Birmingham on Thursday, June 11th .
