Formula 1 re introduced the bonus point for fastest lap of the Grand Prix for the 2019 F1 season.
The drivers running inside the top 10 during a race is eligible for the 1 bonus point for the setting the fastest lap. The driver finishing 11th and above or if the driver with fastest lap fails to finish the race (DNF) he is not eligible for the bonus point.
