
Lando Norris is a British racing driver in Formula One for McLaren. He started in karting, where he won the prestigious direct-drive Karting World Championship in 2014. Norris tasted significant success in junior formulae, winning the 2015 MSA Formula Championship, the 2016 Toyota Racing Series, and the Eurocup and Northern European Formula Renault 2.0 championships. Norris won the 2017 FIA Formula 3 European Championship. He came second in the 2018 FIA Formula 2 Championship.
As a member of the McLaren Young Driver Programme, Norris debuted for the team in 2019 alongside Carlos Sainz Jr. In the 2020 season, Norris quickly established himself as one of the sport's up-and-coming stars. He secured his first podium at the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix and his first pole position in the Russian Grand Prix in 2021. As of May 2025, Norris has achieved five race victories, 10 pole positions, 15 fastest laps, and 31 podiums.
