Match 25 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 sees Chennai Super Kings taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.
Three-time IPL champions CSK have had a sub-par campaign so far with just four points in six games. Despite Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson in stellar form, CSK's middle-order woes have already cost them a few games.
Their previous game against KKR also ended in a defeat, despite looking good for a win at the halfway mark. They would ideally want to extinguish those ghosts against RCB as they hope to return to winning ways in IPL 2020.
Their opponents, Royal Challengers Bangalore, have been impressive this season and have six points in five games. The additions of Devdutt Padikkal and Aaron Finch have bolstered their batting unit.
However, their perennial death bowling woes still linger with the likes of Navdeep Saini and Isuru Udana proving to be expensive in each of their last three games. With Chris Morris nearing a much-awaited return from injury, RCB will fancy their chances of a win at the expense of CSK.
However, the head-to-head record is heavily skewed in CSK's favour with MS Dhoni leading his side to 14 wins in 23 completed games.
In fact, RCB have won only one of their last eight games against CSK, which would cast further doubt in their minds. Either way, both sides are in desperate need of a win with the IPL points table slowly taking shape.
