Varun Chakravarthy's value as an IPL Fantasy pick was underappreciated last season, even as he received a call-up to the Indian team. This time around, he remains a solid uncapped pick who can provide solid returns, especially on spin-friendly pitches.

He redeemed himself really well at KKR in IPL 2020 following a nightmare debut campaign in IPL 2019 after being bought by KXIP for a whopping Rs 8.4 crore. With 17 wickets in 13 games at an excellent economy rate of 6.84, he emerged as the highest wicket-taker for KKR in the IPL last season.

After battling fitness issues, he seems to be ready for IPL 2021. For eight credits, he would be a steal, especially in venues like the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

#2 Ruturaj Gaikwad (CSK) (Batsman) - 8 credits

Maharashtra batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad played some brilliant knocks for CSK towards the end of the IPL 2020 season. The young top-order batsman was given some opportunities early on in the season but failed to capitalise on them.

However, the CSK thinktank allowed him to open the batting in the last three games of the season. Gaikwad made the most of those chances, scoring three consecutive half-centuries to lift CSK off the bottom of the table.

Despite some unconvincing performances in the Syed Mushtaq Ali and the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Ruturaj Gaikwad is all set to open the batting for CSK this season. At eight credits, he would be an excellent uncapped pick, especially with his high ceiling for Fantasy points.

#1 Devdutt Padikkal (RCB) (Batsman) - 9 credits

Devdutt Padikkal excelled in IPL 2020 for RCB and was the highest run-scorer for the team.

That feat is all the more impressive, especially when you consider all the big names that were there in RCB's top order. The left-hander was very consistent at the top of the innings and got the team off to some good starts, even when Aaron Finch struggled at the other end.

Devdutt Padikkal deservedly won the Emerging Player of the Year award in IPL 2020 and looks all set to carry on that momentum this season. His impressive form in the recently-concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy makes him an enticing IPL Fantasy pick.

Despite his slightly hefty price tag, Devdutt Padikkal is an extremely reliable uncapped pick who could richly reward IPL Fantasy players this season.
