Emma Hayes is one of the most decorated coaches in women’s soccer. The 47-year-old started her career as a midfielder at the Arsenal academy in 1988 but had to cut her playing days short because of an ankle injury that she picked up while on a skiing trip.

In 2002, Hayes became the youngest manager of the Long Island Lady Riders and led her team to finish first in the Northeast Division of the Eastern Conference. However, the English manager is best known for her twelve-year coaching stint at Chelsea where she helped the club lift the FA Women’s Super League seven times.

Emma Hayes was hired for the United States Women’s National team in November 2023 and joined the ladies after her contract with Chelsea got over in May 2024.
