However, the distribution will be not as balanced because matches featuring teams like Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay will naturally have bigger crowds. On the contrary, other matches have a chance of going relatively empty.

One reason for the lower ticket sales in some matches is the obscenely high ticket prices, especially in marquee matches.

For instance, an upper-deck ticket in the Argentina vs Canada match at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium might set one back by $307. Even other games with perceivably lesser demand will be selling tickets for as high as $200 apiece. The average ticket price across the tournament is $283 according to Vivid Seats.

In previous iterations of Copa America, CONMEBOL has been the sole authority behind the fan experience and has enjoyed monopoly over controlling ticket prices. However, in Copa America 2024, several profit-oriented third parties have become interested, which has resulted in inflated ticket prices across the whole tournament.
