Real Madrid hold secret meeting with Marco Verratti

Don Balon claims that Real Madrid club president Florentino Perez has swooped in for Barcelona's no.1 target, Marco Verratti. It is claimed that Real Madrid have entered the race for the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder and are all set to match Barcelona's offer for the Italian. This will come as a huge blow to the Catalans who thought they were the only club to have considered paying over £75 million for the former Pescara man.

FC Barcelona to make a second bid for Paulinho

After seeing their bid of €20 million get rejected by Guangzhou Evergrande, FC Barcelona are ready to knock on the Chinese club's door again for Paulinho's signature. Cadena SER reports that the Catalans are mulling over the idea of bidding €30 million for the former Spurs midfielder. But Guangzhou are firm in their stance and will not budge because of the change in the Chinese League's rules.
