Formerly the "Reno-Tahoe Open," the Barracuda Championship is a 25-year-old golf competition with a modified Stableford format. The winner receives 300 FedEx Cup points, a two-year exemption on the tour, and 4,250 DPWTR points but is not invited to the Masters Tournament. The championship is an alternative event on the PGA Tour and has been co-sanctioned by the European Tour since 2022.

Hosted at the Tahoe Mountain Club's Old Greenwood Course, the 2024 Barracuda Championship has a purse of $4 million and a winner's share of $720,000. It runs from July 15 to July 21, 2024. Except for July 20, when "Girls Golf Clinic with Annika Sorenstam" will be the main event, round one of the event will start on July 18 and end on July 21.
