The Kentucky Championship (formerly known as the Barbasol Championship) will take place at Champions at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Kentucky, from July 8–14. Players from both the PGA and the DP World (European) Tours will compete.

Before moving to Nicholasville in 2018, the inaugural Kentucky Championship, a FedEx Cup event on the PGA Tour calendar, was hosted in Alabama in 2015. The event has been co-sanctioned by the European Tour since 2022.

There will be 50 players from the DP World Tour competing for a $4 million prize as part of their collaboration with the PGA Tour and the rest of the field. Along with 500 Race to Dubai ranking points, the winner will also receive 300 FedExCup points.

Kentucky Championship 2024 Course details

The 2024 Kentucky Championship will take place at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Kentucky, at the Arthur Hills-designed Champion Trace golf course, which was built back in 1987. One more Keene Run golf course was added in 2007 and is considered the newest course on the PGA Tour.

According to its website, the club has created one of the most unique private golf club experiences in the state. Champion Trace and Keene Run are the two golf courses that make up the club's 36 holes. The 7,328-yard Champion Trace course will host the Kentucky Championship.

Kentucky Championship Tournament Purse History

The inaugural Kentucky Championship, which was then the Barbasol Championship in 2015, had a purse of $3.5 million and the winner's share of $630,000. Its purse stayed stagnant till 2021 and then was increased by $200,000 in 2022 to a purse of $3.7 million, followed by $3.8 million in 2023 and finally $4 million in 2024. The championship's purse has grown by $500,000 in nine years as of 2024.
