The 2021 Women's PGA Championship winner, Nelly Korda, was born on July 28, 1998. She was qualified for the 2013 U.S. Women's Open, just one month shy of turning 15 years old. As an amateur, she participated in the 2015 U.S. Junior Solheim Cup, won the 2015 Harder Hall Invitational and won the PING Invitational.


She formerly competed on the Symetra Tour, where she won her first professional win in her rookie season at the 2016 Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge. By 2017, she had qualified for the LPGA Tour and had nine victories, with the most recent coming in January 2024 at the Drive On Championship, where she defeated Lydia Ko in a playoff with par on the second extra hole.


Besides her 14 professional wins, she also won a gold medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics and participated in the Solheim Cups in 2019, 2021 and 2023 with her sister Jessica Korda.
