Phil Mickelson, an American professional golfer, has won 45 PGA Tour events and six major championships. He has won two PGA Championships (2005, 2021), one Open Championship (2013), and three Masters titles (2004, 2006, 2010).

Phil Mickelson's outstanding golf career includes 57 professional wins, including 45 PGA Tour triumphs, 11 on the European Tour, one on the Asian Tour, one on the Sunshine Tour, one on the PGA Tour of Australasia, and one on the Challenge Tour.

Additionally, Mickelson has won four PGA Tour Champions victories in his senior career. In addition to his tour victories, he has four more victories.

For over 25 years, Mickelson has maintained a top 50 ranking in the Official World Golf Ranking. In addition to holding the No. 2 position in the world ranking on several occasions and being a life member of the PGA Tour, he has been in the top 10 for over 700 weeks.

In 2022, Mickelson stepped away from the PGA Tour after thirty years to join the Saudi-backed LIV Golf Tour, where he became the only player to have won three or more major titles to do so. According to Forbes, he was paid $200 million as the signing fee.

There are not even 20 golfers in history who have won three or more major championships, including Mickelson. With the exception of the U.S. Open, where he tied a record six times as runner-up, he has won every other major.

Phil Mickelson’s Weight Loss in 2023

In 2023, Phil Mickelson shed 25 pounds (11.4 kg).

The 53-year-old professional golfer disclosed that he shed 25 pounds in preparation for the 2023 Masters when a reporter praised his more toned body. Three-time Masters champion Phil Mickelson shared details of his makeover.

Jokingly mentioning that he "stopped eating food" as part of his weight management plan, Phil Mickelson was referring to his intermittent fasting regimen. When speaking with Golf Digest, Mickelson said he had changed his diet and concentrated on getting more fit.

He further explained, "I also lost muscle, so I had to start lifting, and I've been lifting and slowly have been getting my speed and strength back to where I need it to be," as reported by Golf Digest.

After withdrawing from the PGA Championship last year, Mickelson claimed that, despite fluctuations in his weight over the years, he has now achieved some consistency and is concentrating on his golf career.

Mickelson declared that he will stick to his new way of living: "I'm just going to keep it going this year and continue down that path because, if you watch some of these guys out here today, how far and how fast they're able to swing the club, it's really amazing."

Dave Phillips, a coach for Golf Digest Top 50 and a close friend of Phil Mickelson, has previously offered commentary to the Off Course podcast on Mickelson's difficulty with moderation.

Phillips states, "Whenever you're that elite, it's always the best bottle of wine or the nicest dinners because if you're going to have dinner with Phil, you're not going to go just down the road." Phillips discussed the difficulties of restraining oneself from indulging when opportunities for the finest luxuries abound.

Phillips continued his explanation by saying that Mickelson's strategy had changed. Because he wanted to stay in his sport for as long as possible, Mickelson had moved from yo-yo diets to a healthy, long-term regimen.
