The US Open 2024 will be hosted at Pinehurst Resort, Course No. 2, in North Carolina, USA. The third major golf event of the season will take place from June 13 to 16 and will have a field of 156 professional and amateur golfers.
In the whole 129-year history of the US Open, there have been only four occasions when the event didn't take place, which were due to World War I and II; other than that, it has always taken place. In fact, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was rescheduled for September 2020 but not cancelled.
The first US Open was organized by the United States Golf Association (USGA) in 1895, which was then won by Horace Rawlins and held at Newport, Rhode Island.
