Rory McIlroy, a Northern Irish pro golfer, has 43 professional wins as of March 2025. This includes 28 wins on the PGA Tour and 18 wins on the European Tour since turning professional in 2007. The most recent addition was the 2025 Players Championship, where he defeated J.J. Spaun in the playoffs.

McIlroy plays on both tours, gaining his first European Tour title in 2009 at the Dubai Desert Classic and his first PGA Tour title in 2010 at the Quail Hollow Championship (now the Truist Championship). He was the World No. 1 golfer for more than 120 weeks. According to the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR), he is World No. 2 in March 2025.

Rory McIlroy's bag is filled with TaylorMade clubs, including his driver, fairway woods, irons, and wedges. Rory McIlroy's Driver

McIlroy's driver for the 2025 season is TaylorMade's Qi35 Dot. However, at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, he returned to his TaylorMade Qi10 'Dot' driver after just three rounds. He even played with this at the 2025 Players Championship, where he won the title. A 45-inch-long Fujikura Ventus Black 6X shaft is used by McIlroy, who plays a nine-degree "dot" head that is set at 8.25 degrees.

Rory McIlroy's Fairway/Hybrid

McIlroy decided to switch to the Qi35 fairway wood heads in his 15-degree 3-wood and 18-degree 5-wood for the 2025 season. But, similar to that of his driver, which was switched to Qi10, he returned to the Qi10 woods too before the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational. The Fujikura Ventus Black 8X and 9X shafts are installed in the 3-wood and 5-wood fairway woods, respectively.

McIlroy's Qi10 fairway wood is one of three heads in the series; at retail, it may be adjusted with the hosel, but at retail, it is bonded, or cemented in place, which McIlroy uses. This is frequently done to reduce the hosel's weight even more. As per Golf Monthly, the Tour head comes with more customizing options with a sliding weight, but the regular head provides a mix of power and forgiveness.

Rory McIlroy's Irons

McIlroy uses two TaylorMade irons, a P760 4-iron and a Rors Proto 5-9 iron, both fitted with Project X Rifle 7.0 shafts. He also occasionally puts a utility prototype 3-iron in the bag, which he used in the 2023 Genesis Scottish Open and was also used at the 2025 Players Championship.

The Rors Protos were part of a special set of golf irons designed for several renowned TaylorMade staff players. Each one had a slightly different profile of the TaylorMade P730 iron, with either a different grind or a different profile of the length of the blade.

Rory McIlroy's Wedges

McIlroy uses a set of the TaylorMade Milled Grind 4 wedges in the bag. They are installed with Project X Rifle 6.5 shafts and loft angles of 46, 50, 54, and 60 degrees. As per Golf Monthly, these clubs are among the best golf wedges for controlling spin in wet situations because of the technology used on their faces.

Rory McIlroy's Putter

McIlroy uses a TaylorMade Spider Tour X putter. He switched to this in 2024, after using Scotty Cameron in 2023. He initially used one with a gunmetal PVD finish and later began using a custom 'torched' finish, featuring a SuperStroke grip too. As per Golf Monthly, the Tour X offers the advantages of a mallet design along with the performance of a blade. In comparison to blade putters, it offers more face rotation while keeping 5,000 MOI for improved stability since the TSS weights are positioned farther forward.

Rory McIlroy's Golf Ball

In the 2025 season, McIlroy switched to the TaylorMade TP5 golf ball. Golf Monthly reported that he has been using the TP5x golf ball since it was released in early 2024 and that he likes the spin and control it provides on the green. Also, since he got married on the 22nd, he uses #22 to stamp his ball.
