Rockstar Games dropped a GTA 5 PC update yesterday, April 16, 2024. This wasn't a content update for GTA Online but a patch that implemented some fixes related to the title's stability and performance. Additionally, it allowed players on the platform to unlock the Vinewood Visionary as well as the Majestic achievements via the game's Director Mode.

They were made unlockable via the Director Mode on last-gen consoles, including the PS4 and Xbox One, in February 2024 when the Rockstar Editor was removed from these systems. Notably, this was done to allow continued support for ongoing updates on last-gen consoles.

New GTA 5 PC update makes Rockstar Editor achievements unlockable via Director Mode on the platform

Those who play GTA 5 on PC can now unlock the two Rockstar Editor achievements - Vinewood Visionary and Majestic, from Director Mode as well.

The game's February 2024 patch removed Rockstar Editor from its PS4 and Xbox One versions and allowed users to unlock the aforementioned achievements from Director Mode, not only on these platforms but also on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. The April 16, 2024 update has finally introduced this change on PC.

However, this isn't the only change with the latest GTA 5 PC update. As mentioned, it has also implemented some stability and performance fixes. These include an issue that triggered a "failed to join session" alert following the Next Job Voting screen in Closed or Invite Only GTA Online sessions.

Another issue that urged Steam users to enter a CD Key upon launching the title on the Rockstar Games Launcher has been fixed. Some general stability and security fixes have also been implemented but have not been specified in the latest GTA 5 PC update's patch notes.

Such updates are necessary to ensure an enjoyable experience for GTA 5 and Online players on all platforms. However, it is even more important for last-gen consoles and PC, as GTA 6 will not be released on these platforms at launch. While the GTA 6 PC version might be out sometime in the future, its users will have to keep themselves busy with GTA 5 and Online until that happens.
