However, despite this, many were skeptical about the footage not being an actual representation of the gameplay. To clear everyone’s doubts, Rockstar posted trailer 2 again on May 7, 2025, on X and reiterated its statement about PS5 support in the following manner:

“Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 2 was captured entirely in-game from a PlayStation 5, comprised of equal parts gameplay and cutscenes.”

Not only did the statement confirm that GTA 6 will be released on PS5, but it also showed the kind of gameplay performance fans can expect from the PS5 version. While Rockstar hasn’t revealed the exact resolution and FPS the game will run at on PS5, gamers can expect a 4k and 30 fps support in the game.

Furthermore, as a PS5 Pro model is now also available, the game is expected to look or run much better on the new hardware. It should be able to play the game at a constant 60 fps or even 120 FPS. Fans can expect to know more about GTA 6 gameplay and possible performance on different platforms near its release date next year.
