Minecraft is celebrating its 15th anniversary and the event is scheduled to last till May 29. The game will be offering free rewards to players every single day of the event, which they can claim within a limited time. One of these rewards was the TikTok and Twitch capes, which players could claim by visiting TikTok and Twitch respectively, following a creator who partnered with the game, and then waiting for the redeem code to be dropped. However, players might face a peculiar issue; despite claiming the cape, it cannot be found in the game.

This is one of the possible bugs in Minecraft, especially with third-party capes. There are a few fixes for this issue that players can try easily. In this article, we’ll list possible fixes for the error causing the TikTok cape to not show up. Let’s get started.

You might have done everything needed to claim the cape - visited TikTok, watched the creator, waited for the drop, got the redeem code, and even claimed it on Mojang Studio’s official website. But when you open the game and look for the cape, you just can’t find it.

The first thing you must do is check the version of the game you have. Many players do not know this but the capes are just for Minecraft Bedrock Edition. It is easy to miss this detail, but if you own the Java Edition of the game, you won’t be able to access the cape even though you have claimed it.

Do not fret, though, because the capes will be available for the Java Version on July 8. That’s more than a month’s wait but unfortunately, there is not much to do about it. So, the solution for all Java Edition owners is to wait for the cape to be ported.

If you own the Bedrock edition of the game and still cannot find the Minecraft TikTok cape, you might want to restart the game properly and look for it. This is the simplest solution and most of the time, it works. If it does not work, then try to claim the code again. Sometimes, network errors and other bugs can lead to faulty redemptions.

If none of these methods work, the final solution is to contact Mojang Studios' technical team, as the error could be from their side and thus, can only be fixed by them. Since there are multiple cases of both the TikTok and Twitch capes not showing up, it's likely a bug on the server's side that is preventing the capes from showing up.
