Power levels are going to be increased with Destiny 2 Episode Revenant. Bungie seems to be going back to its traditional route of increasing a player's power level by 10, after more than a year. This will lead players to start grinding as soon as the season drops, instead of running standard activities with the same power. The chase for Pinnacle gear pieces has always been a primary task, and it will return with the launch of Episode Revenant.

A new Dungeon will be launched three days after the episode's release as well, forcing players to run every Pinnacle activity for power-ups. Hence, players in the current episode are recommended to catch up with its Pinnacle Cap of 2000. This will leave minimal tasks for them in the next episode, as the power bridge will only be 10.

Destiny 2 Episode Revenant power cap to be increased

Here is a list of the power cap in each stage, which will be effective from the start of Episode Revenant:

  • Power floor: 1900 (the power level everyone starts with, regardless of their in-game hours or past experiences).
  • Soft Cap: 1950 (This is the power level where any gear pieces earned from 1900 will increase the power towards this number. This is 10 more than the Soft Cap in Episode Echoes)
  • Powerful Cap: 2000 (After hitting the Soft Cap of 1950, players must earn powerful or Pinnacle gear to push towards this number. This is 10 more than the Powerful Cap in Episode Echoes)
  • Pinnacle Cap: 2010 (This number can only be achieved by earning Pinnacle gear, after reaching the Powerful Cap of 2000. Like many caps, Episode Revenant will see an increase of 10 from Episode Echoes)

An increase in power level will also affect the required power for endgame activities such as Grandmaster Nightfall, Lost Sectors, Master Raids, and Master Dungeons. Players looking to hit the Pinnacle Cap within the first three days of Episode Revenant can try their luck on the Salvation's Edge Raid, Warlord's Ruin Dungeon, Pinnacle rotators, and Exotic missions.
