Sarutobi Clan is a clan which Settled in the Hidden Leaf Village during its formation. This clan is highly influential and is still strong and relevant even at this age.
The Sarutobi clan had many powerful Shinobi over the years working for the Hidden Leaf. They strictly follow the Will of Fire and had been closely acquainted with the Kage in every period.
The Sarutobi clan had such a strong belief in the Will of Fire that one of them served as the Hokage for a really long time. Hiruzen Sarutobi was known as the God of Shinobi of his time and could use all elemental releases.

Sarutobi Clan was formed way before the creation of the Hidden Leaf Village. Its origins are unclear, but they were one of the first people to settle in the village. Sasuke Sarutobi was an incredibly strong Shinobi from the Sarutobi clan and the father of Hiruzen Sarutobi. Not only that, Sasuke Uchiha is named after Sasuke Sarutobi.
Hiruzen Sarutobi, Sasuke Sarutobi’s son, was a prodigy at a very young age. He was trained by both the First and Second Hokage and eventually became their successor as Hokage. Before leaving for his death, the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju appointed Hiruzen as the Third Hokage.
But Hiruzen retired and gave the position to Minato Namikaze, who would die while trying to protect the village from the Nine-tails. Thus it forced Hiruzen to once again take up the position of Hokage before he died.
Apart from Hiruzen, the Sarutobi clan also had other powerful Shinobi and this included Asuma Sarutobi, Hiruzen Sarutobi’s son. He held a position as one of the Twelve Guardian Ninja, who were tasked with protecting the Feudal Lord of the Land of Fire.
Hiruzen’s other son and his wife were part of the Anbu, who contributed greatly to the village. Konohamaru Sarutobi, Hiruzen’s grandson, also proved to be an incredibly strong and efficient Shinobi at a very young age thanks to his training from Naruto Uzumaki. He is one of the few people who can actually use the Rasengan.
The Sarutobi Clan also had close relations with the Akimichi, Nara and Yamanaka Clans. They were tasked to strengthen the unity between the three clans. Every generation of the Ino-Shika-Cho trio receives special earrings from this clan after swearing their oath.
Not only that, the Sarutobi Clan is famous for their incredibly strong Fire Release Techniques. Konohamaru Sarutobi is seen using Fire Release at a really young age and he is also able to use Ash Pile Burning Ninjutsu, which he learnt from his grandfather.
All clans have leaders who think about the Clan’s future and work towards it. The Sarutobi clan is no exception. Hiruzen Sarutobi was a Hokage that not only cared about the future of the Sarutobi Clan, but the entire village.
Hiruzen Sarutobi was the Third Hokage. He was appointed Hokage by the Second Hokage and he had the Will of Fire and looked after the Village even after the Fourth Hokage died.
There are also a few members of the clan who, despite not being a leader, contributed to the village or the clan despite not being in a position of power. Here are some of them:
One of the Twelve Guardian Ninja. He was in charge of protecting the Feudal Lord of the Fire Nation. He died in the line of duty while trying to protect the Hidden Leaf from an Akatsuki invasion.
Konohamaru Sarutobi managed to defeat a Pain during his invasion in the Hidden Leaf, saving the life of his teacher. Konohamaru was in charge of the current Team 7 as well, before Sarada Uchiha received a chunin status.
The Sarutobi possessed many abilities and Jutsu that belonged to them. While Hiruzen Sarutobi knew every Jutsu in existence and was called the professor, this was not the case for others in his clan. These are some of Sarutobi Clan’s signature Jutsu:
A. The Sarutobi Clan is famous for their powerful Fire Style Techinique. However, what makes Sarutobi Clan special is not them as a group, but the individuals produced by it. There have been a lot of prodigies from the clan over the years.
A. Kurenai is not a Sarutobi by blood. However, she is considered a Sarutobi because she carried Asuma Sarutobi’s child and she becomes a Sarutobi by marriage.
A. No. The two clans are not related. However, the Sarutobi Clan believed strongly in the ideologies introduced by the Senju Clan, namely the Will of Fire.
