Akash Singh was born on 26 April 2002 and is an up and coming speedster who has made a mark in the U-19 arena. Selected for his home state Rajasthan Royals franchise in the IPL, Akash will be looking towards the 2020 season as opportunity to learn the secrets of the trade from the best in the business.

The left arm pacer made his Twenty20 debut on 9 November 2019, for Rajasthan in the 2019–20 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Prior to his Twenty20 debut, he represented the India under-19 cricket team in the 2019 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup in September 2019. In December 2019, he was named in India's squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup and was part of the potent bowling attack where India finished runners-up. The left-arm pacer picked 7 wickets during the U19 World Cup.
Riding high on the success of the U-19 WC, Akash Singh, was bought by Rajasthan Royals for INR 20 lakhs during the IPL Players Auction ahead of IPL 2020 and will be looking forward to making a bright start to his IPL career. Although it will be difficult for him to break into the playing XI but Rajasthan royals camp has been known to take such calculated gambles.
Akash’s family consists of two sisters with an elder brother. His Father is a farmer whereas his mother is a homemaker. Despite the precarious situation at home, financially, Akash continued to pursue his dream and is now on the cusp of landing his maiden IPL cap.
