Born on October 9, 1988, Starling Marte is Dominic Professional baseball outfielder for the New York Mets in Major League Baseball (MLB). Marte spent time in the Pittsburgh Pirates farm system after agreeing to a contract with them in 2007. Marte was the first player to reach the major leagues after graduating from the Pirates Latin American camp, located in the Dominican Republic. On July 26, 2012, he made his Major League debut with the Pirates.
