Pokemon GO Aspiring Dragons Research Day: Schedule, featured encounters, and more

Pokemon GO Aspiring Dragons Research Day brings a variety of Pocket Monster encounters, with some featuring an increased shiny rate for the event. Trainers can also purchase a Timed Research questline to get more encounters with certain Pokemon.

Schedule

Aspiring Dragons Research Day takes place on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 2 pm local time to 5 pm local time.

Featured Pokemon

The following Pocket Monsters will be available through event-themed Field Research tasks and enjoy a boosted shiny rate:

Horsea
Trapinch
Swablu
Skrelp

Wild encounters

The following Pokemon will be spawning more frequently in Aspiring Dragons Research Day:

Spearow [shiny encounter available]
Yanma [shiny encounter available]
Carvanha [shiny encounter available]
Dwebble [shiny encounter available]
Ducklett [shiny encounter available]
Binacle [shiny encounter available]

Paid Timed Research

A paid Timed Research questline is available to trainers for US$2.00. Players will get to choose one of the featured Pokemon and enjoy more encounters with the same through Field Research tasks. Once the first Timed Research questline is completed, players can select another featured Pokemon for a second Timed Research.

This paid Timed Research must be completed by Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 5 pm local time.

Pokemon GO trainers will get to encounter Gigantamax Lapras tomorrow (December 8, 2024) in the Gigantamax Lapras Day. From 2 pm local time to 5 pm local time, the Max Particle collection limit is upped to 1600, with all Power Spots hosting Gigantamx Battles.
