Niantic has officially announced the next season of Pokemon GO, with numerous details about it now available on social media and the game's official website. The season was unveiled through a 30-second trailer on X. The video reveals the developer's plans for the mobile title and hints at potential quality-of-life features. However, given its brief duration, it's easy to overlook some of the finer details

This article discusses a few things viewers might have missed in the Pokemon GO Dual Destiny trailer.

The two major highlights in the video are the inclusion of Necrozma's fusions and the Unova Legendaries. This suggests Niantic might be reworking Black and White Kyurem, as a fusion method has now been programmed into Pokemon GO through Necrozma's forms.

Although Black and White Kyurem still don't have their signature moves in the game, Niantic may be saving them for Kyurem's fusion rework, potentially with an Adventure Effect. However, this remains speculative at this time.

The trailer also showcases a revamped design for the game's Pokedex system, seen in an over-the-shoulder shot of a player. This updated Pokedex separates entries by region, making it easier for trainers to find specific creatures. Other sorting options, such as type or Mega Evolution, may also be available.

Hoopa also appears in the trailer, both in person and through its iconic rings. Since these rings were a significant part of the teaser released prior to the official announcement of the Dual Destiny season, Hoopa's Unbound form will likely feature as an Elite Raid Boss.

The final scene of the trailer hints at the theme for 2025's GO Tour. The event logo is struck by lightning, ignites, and then freezes, practically confirming Kyurem's presence at the yearly event.

This implies the GO Tour might be themed around the Unova region, exciting players who still seek valuable creatures like Chandelure or Excadrill. The global rendition of this event is set for March 1-2, 2025.

Multiplayer changes could be coming to the game

The trailer shows various players interacting with each other, seemingly through online connection. Vivillon also appears during these scenes, as it can take many forms depending on the postcards trainers collect from each other.

This means both postcard and player friend interactions could see a rework in the new season.
