#4 Triple H and Stephanie McMahon
Ofcourse, ofcourse. They are the most powerful couple in the WWE. That fact can’t be missed in their endless appearances together in the past couple of years.
Triple H and Stephanie McMahon’s relationship is relevant to the WWE. It may be the first instance when kayfabe really showed signs of waning away. Both of them divorced on screen at around the same time they married each other off screen. And everybody got to know about both instances. And a couple of years later they were back to being husband and wife again.
Nonetheless, this couple has graced us with their presence for almost 16 years and that certainly qualifies them to be one of the greatest couples in the realm of the WWE.
Here’s the story of their nasty break up. It all began when Triple H returned in 2002 after a serious injury to receive a hero’s welcome. He was a babyface and Stephanie was still a heel. Obviously trouble ensued and one thing led to another and the next thing we know they were set to renew their marriage vows on the pretext that Stephanie was pregnant, which she was faking in the storyline.
The ring was their altar and Triple H left her seething at the altar. He had that grin on his face while Stephanie lay in the ring screaming.
