Annie Xu is a professional badminton player and has a World Ranking of No. 29 in doubles as of August 2024. Her notable accomplishments include winning a silver medal in the doubles category at the 2024 and 2023 Pan American Games with her twin sister, Kerry Xu. With her commendable performance, she also won a silver medal at the 2024 Pan Am Female Badminton Cup in Sao Paulo.

Xu made her debut at the 2013 Yonex OCBC US Open Grand Prix, where she reached the quarterfinals in doubles. Her success continued as she won a gold medal at the 2014 and 2015 Pan American Junior Championships. She trains at the Bay Badminton Training Academy in the USA. She has also won bronze medals at the Pan Am Junior Championships in the girl's singles and mixed doubles categories.

Xu won a gold medal at the 2016 Pan Am Female Badminton Cup in Guadalajara. She completed her graduation from the University of California in Economics. Xu, along with her twin sister Kerry Xu, is trained by Chee Ching Tan.
