One of the youngest champions in freestyle skiing, Eileen Gu, won three medals at the 2022 Beijing Olympics. She won two gold and one silver in big air, halfpipe, and slopestyle categories. Included in the 100 most influential people named by Time in 2022, Gu has won three World Championship medals. She won a gold medal at the 2024 Winter X Games held in Aspen in the superpipe category. Gu was included by Forbes as the second-highest-paid athlete in 2023.

Gu won two gold and one bronze medal at the 2021 Winter X Games in Aspen. Nicknamed the as frog princess on her social media, Gu won four consecutive competitions at the 2021-22 World Cup. She won her second crystal globe by securing first place in park and pike overall. According to the International Ski Federation, she acquired 12 podium finishes, including six in halfpipe and five in slopestyle.
