Helen Louise Maroulis is a professional wrestler who specializes in freestyle. She was born on the 19th of September, 1991 in Rockville, Maryland, United States.

Across her career, she has competed in the 53kg, 55 kg, and 57 kg weight classes. The 32-year-old attended Magruder High School for about three years before advancing to Marquette High School in Michigan. She experienced this same trajectory in her University journey by starting first at Missouri Baptist University and then moving to Canada to study at Simon Fraser University. Helen recorded 99 wins during her career in high school and got a placement at the Maryland State Wrestling Championships in her freshman season.

At the World Juniors Championships, she won three medals, a silver, and two bronze, at both the 51 and 55 kg weight classes. Helen is a member of the Sunkist Kids Wrestling Club and trained at the U.S. Olympic Education Center. She is being coached by Terry Steiner and Mark Perry. Her spell at the Golden Grand Prix earned her four medals, a Gold and three bronze. At the 2011 Pan American Games held at Guadalajara for the 55 kg weight class, Helen won a Gold medal.

Helen Maroulis has historically achieved a Gold medal in freestyle wrestling in the women's category to become the first to achieve that feat. She did that at the 2016 Rio Olympics and is now a three-time Olympian. She won the medal by defeating Saori Yoshida of Japan in the 53 Kg weight class. Helen at the Tokyo Olympics crashed out in the semi-finals but due to repechage, she won the bronze medal against Mongolia's Khongorzul Boldsaikhan in the 57kg Weight class.

In 2022, Helen won a gold medal at the Golden Grand Prix Ivan Yarygin held in Krasnoyarsk for the 57 kg weight class. During her participation at the World Wrestling Championships, Helen has won seven Medals in total. At the 2024 U.S Olympics trials in the 57kg weight class, She defeated Jacarra Winchester in the second round.
